With a passion for helping patients with all types of needs achieve better health and confidence in their smiles, Dr. Matt Dillard strove to become more than just a general dentist.
After receiving his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, he went on to complete an additional four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Ohio State University. During this time, Dr. Dillard dedicated himself to the study of advanced surgical dentistry and the intricate oral structures that help us chew, speak, and smile. This training is superior to dentists and allows him to handle everything from simple tooth extractions to multi-stage reconstructive treatment plans.
In 2003, Dr. Dillard felt called to serve our country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After completing his service, he returned to South Carolina and to dentistry, settling in the Charleston area with his wife and their three children. He has provided patients with excellent dental and oral maxillofacial care from our offices in Charleston and Walterboro, SC, ever since.
