We have patients that come in and maybe they've cracked a tooth. Sometimes patients just have a lot of dental decay in their teeth that can't be fixed, they're painful, and so sometimes removing several teeth and we can accommodate all of that. We can provide one tooth removal and sometimes removing an entire arch of teeth and we can do that. We do it with sedation, keep them very comfortable. Wisdom teeth likewise.
So when you come in for an extraction, a lot of times, if it's just a single tooth, you can arrange to have it done the same day as the consult. And, you know, there'd be some paperwork to fill out, the staff would greet you and then bring you back, we'd review the procedure. We can do it under local anesthesia or if you prefer we have laughing gas or even IV sedation.
Usually afterwards, over-the-counter pain medicine is adequate. We typically will prescribe a few pain pills, but the recovery period is usually pretty quick, couple days of some soreness and then it eases off pretty quickly after that.
We'll help them through the insurance process. We'll follow up with them after the procedure. I try to call all of my patients every day. We're always available, you know, myself or the assistants. If they call, we can answer questions. We can always get them back in if they're having any kind of issue.
